37 Weeks!

Can't believe it really! Here we are at 37 weeks!

I start my weekly appointments this week. Which is exciting but also nerve racking just cause I have a feeling that things are going to be moving really FAST these next couple of weeks.

People have told me that the last month is the worst....well one week down! And it really hasn't been too bad. I have stayed REALLY busy which has helped but has also made me pretty tired. Some mornings I consider just laying in bed and perhaps being an hour or so late to work. But then I get to work and am thankful to have a JOB, have some extra income before baby, and to PASS the time!

I am supposedly as big as a small watermelon maybe that's why I don't want to get up in the mornings...who would! Lil Miss has been very active I am hoping on Friday to figure out if she has settled into the birthing position! Several people tell me I look like I have "dropped"....I guess I can't tell cause I see me everyday! But I take that as a good sign!

Morgan should be here in just a couple of weeks! Its hard not knowing the exact day or time but I won't complain! Knowing he will be home soon is enough for me!

My mom has been helping me go through everything and make sure that I have what I need for the start of this GRAND adventure.

I will probably be in Canyon til mid April then my mom and dad will help me move to Killeen. Morgan should be back sometime mid April for GOOD! We are hoping to find a rental home/duplex that will get us through til August.

THEN we will move back to CANYON so Morgan can go to school. I am hoping to get a good job so he can just focus on studies and be a stay at home dad....wonder what he thinks about that! I am sure he will do great.

Well that sums it up for now! Trying to get better at updating not only for me...but my few faithfuls (love you Lessie)!

Til Next Time!

Watch Out!

So I feel like I should wear a warning sign around my NECK! Seems like BABY BRAIN is in full force these days!

Oh the things I have done/ not done due to this malfunction in the brain....

At work this week I found myself staring at the phone...trying to recall the number 9 to dial out...after pushing 1 countless time....

I went to have my oil changed in Clifford (xterra). When asked to "pop" the hood I stared at my car like it was 15 year old with no experience in "popping"!
They finally opened the door for me and the hood was RELEASED. I also asked them to check my windshield wipers. They asked me to turn them on....once again no clue how to do that...I had the brights on and the blinkers but alas no windshield wiper...I am surprised they didn't ask for proof insurance to verify I did indeed own the car!

On my Father-in-laws bday card I wrote very proudly the word Dabb-i-o....awesome! I think I played it off ok made him feel better about aging a year! maybe....we will see when he gets the card! Love you DADD-I-O!!

Today I went to a shower with only one earring in! GEEEEE!!!!

I think there are more...but my baby brain has zapped me of their memory...probably better that way!

Have a great day BLOG world!

Oh February!

February! The month of LOVE! And this year it has the potential to be the most LOVED filled month of all!

My dear friend Sarah Pipkin came into town this past weekend for a baby shower and she reminded me about the good ole valentines days of past.

I remember it was when Lauren Hudgins now Enriquez lived in her one bedroom apartment. There were several of us ladies that found ourselves to be single that year and dateless that wonderful day of "LOVE" known as Valentines day!

We decided to make sopapilla cheese cake and just enjoy the evening all together! Well Sarah Pipkin could not be trusted in the Kitchen! She kept adding to the already well known recipe (that didn't really need any additives) We kicked her out several times but damage was already done!!!!!

I believe we still ate the dessert and shared some good laughs about it!

This year is so different and this month has so much in store. I look back at that night spent with my girlfriends laughing and enjoying the "singleness" of it all!

Now I am 4 weeks away from being a mommy! My lil Angel could be here this month!

Since my last post we have learned that Morgan will be here for her arrival! And be here soon! Don't know the exact days (go figure, go military) BUT he will be HERE! I have cried so many joyful tears over that news!!! I guess I can say I have just cried a lot period these days, woo hoo hormones!

February is known for being a short month but my goodness in my eyes it is the most blessed month. The month when I will once again be with the Love of my LIFE! The month that we celebrate my Parents 30th Anniversary, my father in-law's bday and my daddy's bday! And the possible arrival of one God's greatest gifts!

Wow so many things to be grateful for, so much to feel loved by and so much to CELEBRATE!

Life is a DANCE...

So much going on so much to say...so few words found to say it!

Baby Canales is growing and doing really well. We have been so blessed with such a smooth sailing easy going pregnancy. Besides feeling a little more tired these days I really cannot complain. I have had such amazing support from loved ones.

The deployment seems to be flying by I cannot believe we are a week into January 2011. Morgan has been very busy with missions and tasks across sea. I think him staying so busy has also helped the time pass. He is so ready to be home and I am soooo ready to have him. Asking for prayer that he will be home for our sweet baby's birth. There are so many things in a marriage and partnership you don't picture going through a lone. Going through birth is high on my list. Yes I know that I will have the support of my family and friends but I would HATE for Morgan to miss the chapter completely. So that is my prayer. That timing would work out and a spot would be available for him to come home to me and his baby girl!

Monday is Morgan and my anniversary. 2 YEARS! Can't really believe it! it has gone so quickly it seems. I am sad that we will be spending this one a part but I know that we have so many a head of us and refuse to let it get me down!

I am now 32 weeks and 3 weeks a long in this pregnancy! She could be her in 7 weeks give or take! I have found a pediatrician whom I am very excited about! My OB doctor has been so wonderful and understanding. He is prepared to deliver via Skype or Telephone to make sure my hubby is part of the sweet moment! I am so thankful for him and his team of nurses!

This is the part I don't want to report....but it part of the season of life I'm living in. I did NOT pass my Nursing Exam for the third time. It SUCKS (sorry mom not a better word for it)! I was so hopeful that this would be my last RODEO with that DARN test. I am not sure what the Lord is trying to teach me through this trial but I know he has PLANS for ME! I will probably wait til after the arrival of our lil one to consider retaking it. In the meantime I am going to focus on getting ready for that special day!

There are so many things to be excited about and so many reasons to keep on smiling....so that is my plan!

So many blessings....

WOW!

I have just been thinking this past week all that I have to be thankful for. And I feel so BLESSED because the list goes on and on!

I am thankful for a 14 year old boy who gave my Best Friend the gift of life through organ donation.

I am thankful for Morgan's family that has been so supportive during this time. I know there are so many things in life we could choose to let get to us but with their love and support I have kept above the wake!

I am thankful for my family that has given me SO much! Provided a roof over my head and food for me and my growing belly! For my mom who has taken off from work to be at EVERY doctors appointment and sono!
For my sisters have held me when I have felt alone and who have made me laugh and forget my worries.

I am thankful for my Grandparents. I have enjoyed being back in Canyon and getting to spend extra time with them. Thursdays I eat at Grandma Berta's and Papa Ernest's retirement home. Wednesdays Grandma D and I find a different place to eat around Canyon.
I have been so blessed in my life to have both sets so close!

I am thankful for all my many many friends....near and far!
My Alaskan girls who are in the perfect time zone late nights when I can't sleep.
My Canyon girls who have helped occupy my time while at home and keep me going days I feel down.
And my Military wives those who have walked through a familiar storm and those who just know how it is! They have kept me grounded. They have kept me positive. They have kept me GOING!
My friends who are now MOMMY'S! oh my goodness! these poor girls have endured countless questions and statements of what if? but they too have kept me going and have shown me the way in a very unfamiliar territory. I am grateful for their LOVE, SUPPORT, and ADVICE!

I am thankful for technology that has kept me connected to the other half of my heart!

I am thankful for all the men and women who are away from loved ones to protect this GREAT nation we live in!

Most of all I'm thankful for my amazing HUSBAND! Who has missed so much but given so MUCH more. He is my HERO. He is my LOVE! He is my SOLDIER!

I pray that he too can find as many things to be Thankful for in time that some would allow hardships to get the better of them. I LOVE YOU MORGAN!
